Director's Network: NYS’s Paid Family Leave Act – What Employers Need to Know

The New York Paid Family Leave Insurance Act was passed in 2016 and will go into effect on January 1. 2018.  Beginning in January, employees will be eligible to take up to 8 weeks job protected, paid leave to welcome a new child, care for a seriously ill family member, or to handle issues related to the deployment of a family member in the military.  This is an insurance program paid for by employees and will phase in over four years. Find out what you need!
